I finally had a chance to decorate our front entry. Since we live in a Townhouse I don’t have a huge space to decorate, but I truly feel the front entry is the first impression of your home & who am I kidding, I just like to decorate! I love to use items as long as possible & many of these items can be used all Winter. First I wanted to show you the deco mesh wreath I made:
What I like about this wreath is I made it basically silver. I just added a few red bunches of mesh using twist ties. I hung The Dollar Tree sign the same way. After Christmas I simply remove the red & add a Let It Snow sign also from The Dollar Tree. Then, to take me through Valentines Day I’ll take that sign down add the red back & hang a Valentines Day sign. It really is a great way to keep costs down, but also, save on storage! I like the sparkly garland I picked up after Christmas last year. I have battery
operated lights on the wreath.
I found the beautiful sled & the skates at two different yard sales, but on the same day! The sled was $5 & the skates $1! Remember how I like to use items as long as possible? The DIY Peace sign is black on the back & says Let It Snow! I made 4 double sided signs that cover every Holiday/Season. My main one says Welcome.
I love
thrifting-some days I leave empty handed & some days I score! I think the hunt is the most fun. The adorable reindeer above? He was $2! Of course he didn’t look like that, but I gave him a couple coats of spray paint & he’s good as new. The metal-not plastic-urn? $5!
I just shared how to make the little snowballs above-again, they can stay out all winter.
I wrapped a few boxes with a plastic tablecloth for outside & added some grosgrain ribbon.
